The fashion in this book span the years from 1894 to 1910. The Edwardian era, strictly speaking, was from 1901, when Edward VII ascended the throne of England upon Victoria's death, to his death in 1910, but it is usually understood to have ended at the outbreak of World War I. In France, it was known as la belle epoque (1890-1919) and both France and England was an age of great ostentation and extravagance.
The fashion was the cool, mature woman with a rather heavy bust, the pigeon breast, and the effect was emphasizeby this corsets worn which prodcuced the peculiar "S" shape so characteristic of the time.
There are approximately 19 outfits to make plus hair dos and hats. You will have a great time dressing your miniature dolls.
This is a new, 49-page, soft cover, published in 1989. The book is in new/gift quality condition.
